Aurora Kunststoffe GmbH, headquartered in Neuenstein (Baden-Württemberg), a manufacturer of high-quality technical ReGranulates, ReCompounds and plastic regrinds, provides solutions for new sustainability concepts. In addition to its main production facilities in Neuenstein, Aurora operates two other sites in regional plastic processing centres, in Walldürn and Villingen-Schwenningen. In November 2019 Aurora Kunststoffe GmbH became part of MOL Group.
The company is focusing on the production of so-called ReCompounds, recyclate-based plastic granulates, which are on a par with virgin materials in terms of quality. In the production of plastic parts, usually up to five percent scrap or production residues are generated. Aurora purchases those industrial residues and uses them to produce new high-quality materials in an environmentally friendly and resource-conserving manner. The products can either be returned to the supplier in the frame of a toll manufacturing service or sold as a reformulated product to other customers in various sectors of the plastics processing industry.
Aurora is covering the entire value chain from the disposal of production residues to the finished ReCompound. Through its certified suppliers and the Lean logistics concept, Aurora has extensive access to secondary raw materials from post-industrial origin, in high consistent quality.
This preserves valuable natural resources and gives Aurora’s customers a decisive sustainable market advantage.
